College protests have always been as inane as Twitter and Facebook. Same petty bullshit, same silly group dynamics, same effectiveness.

So much this.

I remember protests about what to call one of our bars, protests about who we should buy our beer from, where the chip dispenser should be (seriously, the daft fuckers dropped it down the stairs moving it!), and thats without getting anywhere near political protests.

Collage kids are supposed to be worked up about the world.

Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor ?

I'll just stop there or I would get bizarre.

See, we had a pub attached to our accommodation. You can sit outside it and heckle (or cheer) protests.

I feel it makes them raise their game when theres a pub full of drunken people marking them for content and commitment. :)

Oh I misunderstood. That would be great for everyone involved. Free entertainment for one group and useful feedback for the other.

Because special snowflake SJWs need shit broken down to them like they are retards.

Again this adds to my point of you guys needing to have pubs on campus.

If this was in the UK there'd be at least 20 to 30 drunken idiots (admittedly thats a hard word to use after seeing that youtube but I'll use it in context) taking the absolute piss out of what was going on ( I did think that that was what was happening there to be honest. The repeat what someone says in a stupid voice thing being the original troll).

Sadly, you are wrong. It had nothing to do with trolling and everything to do with their way of enacting a flat society where everybody has a voice and nobody's voice is more important than anybody else's. The repeating was to enforce uniformity.

The Occupy Wall Street "movement" was taken over by this level of nuttery. The SJWs came in and kicked others out of their own tents and enforced a hierarchal society whereby the most "oppressed" could speak first, thus maintaining social order.

So if you were a black gay transgendered former male, then you got to speak first and had the loudest voice as you denounced the patriarchy. Everybody else was deprioritized.

Numerous comedians have discussed why they won't go near college campuses anymore. It's because jokes are now "violence" against your mental state.

Yeah, I'm just saying that if a quarter of the audience is pissed (that would be inebriated to you, you atlantically challenged former colonial :p) then its a damn sight harder to carry on with that sort of shit.

Sorry but I refuse to believe that that sorry shower of shit could agree to organize anything on a collective level.

Were you really dying to speak to or listen to anyone at their rallies?

Thats a real shame. I remember seeing Bill Hicks and Jerry Sadowitz and the like at Uni.

You know, come to think of it, I haven encountered a few people like this. I had a roommate ten or twelve years ago who was would up really tight to the point of everything offended him. I remember I carpooled with him once to get laundry done & someone in the building walked by and said "good morning". Dude complained about it for like five minutes straight! "Why do people have to do that, say good morning? I already know it's morning. Doesn't mean it's good or bad." That's when the red flag went up in my brain :D

Just wondering if they're really as common in America as they seem to be from what I read on the internet...

By SJW, I mean those annoying ones with their hair dyed red or purple that make amazingly stupid statements about being attracted to diapers and stuff(god i cringed even typing that)and follow an extremely leftist ideology. Like this:

binx.PNG

Or is this just the cyberspace blowing things out of proportion that normal people dont care about?

Good Question.
I believe Most SJW's Live in the Internet(This Forum is Overflowing with them, lol.)
I've not met any IRL but then again I don't discuss Politics/Religion/Social Issues with People.
If I did happen to meet a SJW IRL I would probably "Snarl" ie., a Clint Eastwood Like Disgusted Look or Worse.

My brother in law (24y/o) lives with a bunch of hipsters (they're in a band) and they managed to convert them over the course of a few years. Last time he came to visit he refused to use he/she at dinner because he didn't believe in forcing people into gender roles or something. I started making fun of him and he got mad so it ended well :whiste:

Good Job!

I've never met one. I had a student peer that on first impression kind of looked like one (the hair, glasses, a couple other things) but she was actually a libertarian and not a humanities or social science major. The nice thing about going to a cheap, low-prestige public college is that you don't meet too many pretentious assholes.

Everyone should dye their hair fuchsia or purple, or in the least if you're a guy, shave your head for the first time. Based on what it does to one's own mindset, its very liberating if not life changing. Others may think a person is trying to look better in the process (and may or may not), but it is one way to really learn to not give a fvck what others think. Besides, it's the ones that are the most judgmental that are usually the ones who are most afraid of what other people think.

kinda like "welfare queens" are boogeymen for older conservatives.

No. I worked with a silly SJW for a few years. They do exist.

Maybe knowing some SJWs in real life can chill you out a bit about SJWs online.

I knew an SJW who declined to give a ride to a homeless man because "I had a bunch of junk in my car but otherwise I'd love to!" who was secretly happy that they didn't have to do it, because... well... what kind of moron would let a homeless man into their car. Kinda dumb.

If they didn't have junk in their car they would have done it for SJW appearance reasons but hated it.

So now you know.
