Anyone encounter problems with Pioneer A106s ?

Just got this DVD ROM from new egg. For softwares it seems to work fine but for DVD it seems I cannot play it and says it has a problem........ I cannot also Rip and DVD using any rippers... no problems with the Pioneer A105s. Any clues ?
 
I have two Pioneer 106S drives, and they both work perfectly. Setting up for DVD requires special software. What are you using? I recommend WinDVD or PowerDVD. The Ati DVD player that came with my Radeon doesn't work . . . so that is history.

Can you play music CDs? Read data CDs? If so, the physical connections are fine. All you need is the right software.
