Anyone elses Vista experience feel sluggish when using iTunes?

Vista runs without slows downs on my PC (Pentium 4 3.2E Prescott, 1GB PC3200 DDR400, Radeon 9800pro), but whenever I load up iTunes and use Opera, the whole PC feels sluggish.

Is it the way iTunes is programed, or is it my lack of ram?

There's no excuse for Apple not having a Vista-ready version of iTunes for Vista's consumer launch. And then they send an email to iPod owners telling them not to upgrade to Vista. That's serious arrogance.

Apple is really good at passing the buck. Look at their response to the virus on the ipod, its windows fault for not being more virus resistant.

I fully agree.

Well 7.02 works, but it can be pretty unpleasant. If you have the album art view on (the regular one, not the rolodex one), scrolling through your library is very slow. Syncing is kind of hit and miss, for me I have found that it won't sync unless I open iTunes first.

I've never been a fan of iTunes to begin with, but I need to be able to get stuff on my iPod and I haven't found any good alternatives.

Oh and their album art database sucks. WMP11 finds art for everything in my library, iTunes finds maybe 50-60%.
