Anyone else's Muvico no longer giving free refills on larges?

alkemyst

No Lifer
I haven't been to Regal lately but the Muvico here which used to advertise free refills on it's large drink and popcorn no longer gives refills....the people working there are also the most pathetic employees of any place I have been.

There were about 10 workers....one guy doing the register, one girl pulling his orders...she would sort of slow shuffle step though and worked in slow motion it seemed...I don't know if this was deliberate or just because her mom did crack cocaine while pregnant. I was waiting where refills used to be done and she did everything to ignore me/not look at me....finally I sort of yelled and immediately before I could ask 'we don't give refills here anymore', so she knew I was waiting and choose to be an idiot.

The other 8 workers had 1 guy doing popcorn and 1 guy doing microwave stuff....the other six all had brooms and were just standing in the corner talking....1 line and it was about 20 deep.

In the lobby about 5-6 workers were all siting down by the end of one hallway on the 'couches' some girl in the group was talking loud about sex and using a lot of profanity...they were outside a kid's movie (ELF) and didn't seem to care about that at all.

Then in a lawsuit waiting to happen as we were told our theatre was seating and we all started to enter the ushers cleaning the theatre threw a bag over the 'balcony' full of trash and just messed two people walking in front of us.

I don't know what the heck the managers are doing, but local theatres are quickly going down the tubes...

The Goodrich Quality 16 by my house is good, but their prices keep going up. I go to a movie on average once a month, and I'll soon start going to less if the prices keep increasing. DVDs are where it's at.

I suggest that you contact the company and let them know about your experience.
Chances are that you will get something out of it.

I bet I would 🙂, however, the whole experience is getting to be a hassle rather than enjoyable lately, so I'd get more than likely free tickets to a show that will cause another incident....it seems people take these jobs the require one to help/wait on people and then act as if they are too important to help/wait on you.

At least at all the rental places you get like ten employees all trying to say hi and help you as soon as you walk in the place...

It's not just me complaining about this...there was a group of people after the movie all complaining about the service, lack of paper towels in any of the rest rooms, and rude ushers...yet people keep going....my family was all together on this last outing, but next time it's just me and my wife I am not going to accept it.
