Anyone else's memory deteriorating as they enter mid 20s?

The most difficult for me is names, especially celebrity names. Just a few days ago, I had trouble remembering Emma Watson's name! I also found that I forgot the name of every high school and most college professors. I could tell you that 3 years ago, I could remember a large portion of them.

Words are another big problem for me. I used to have a large and expansive vocabulary. Think of a word and I could come up with 2-3 synonyms on average. Now, I find it hard to put enough words together to complete an intelligent sounding sentence, let alone come up with synonyms!

I found that I only started having these troubles in the past 2 or so years. Ages 22-24. Does anyone else have this issue? What is the best way to treat it?

The Kelly Bundy theory. There is only so much space in your brain some more some less.. yours seems to be full. Carefull putting trivial stuff in it, might overwrite important stuff.

must be cancer.

Anyway forgetting the professors' names can happen after you've been out for a few years.
Not normal that your vocabulary is shrinking though, and absolutely alarming that you find it hard to make up elaborate sentences.

Yeah, fortunately I forget that i can`t remember most of the times.
Joke aside I think stress can ruin your memory pretty bad.

You're simply too young for any kind of physical reason to be causing memory loss. What you're experiencing is just life putting more on your plate. Stress and anxiety have been proven to effect memory loss.

My memory has been going downhill since grade 10. Mostly regarding things I've done.

I think interests just change, so you care to 'remember' stuff less... I.E you don't care to remember to begin with. You just fill your head with stuff you're interested in.

I find my memory is directly related to how tired I am... When I am really tired, I cant seem to remember anything, thoughts just fly around in my head and I cant catch anything... Ill have something I want to do and 5 seconds later I have no idea what it was

Thats about it though (Im 25)

If this concerns you so much, and you are smoking marijuana, stop smoking.

If you don't smoke pot, you may just be adjusting to the stresses of adult life. Stress can cause inability to recall from memory. The cure for that, is to start smoking pot, but not too much because then you'll be forgetting stuff for a different reason.

They just usually forget stuff they did or said when high.
