Anyone else's 1070 fail on them?

I was playing DOOM yesterday and all of a sudden the game froze and the pc became unresponsive (Ctrl+Alt+Esc, Ctrl+Alt+Del, ect did nothing). I hit the reset button and it sounded like it was booting just fine except there was nothing on the screen.

I tried different HDMI ports on the card.
I moved it to a different PCIe slot
I turned off the psu and pulled the battery
I tried re-inserting the power cord and using a different psu rail

Nothing worked so I put my GTX 760 back in and everything worked OK. Swapped them out again and there was nothing again.

What's weird is that, now, the front right audio channel doesn't come through. The other 4.1 channels are passed but the front left plays in both front speakers and the surrounds/sub play normally. I tried tweaking my receiver, windows audio, etc. Could all of this be indicative of a bad/fried PCIe slot/bus?

Mobo is a Z87-G45 Gaming with an i7 4770k processor if it matters.

I kind of think you answered that question yourself.
If the PCIe was bad, your GTX 760 wouldn't work.

Yes and no - I had no audio issues prior to the 1070's failure. I'm more wondering if the 1070's failure could've damaged the PCIe slot by shorting something else or some other unusual damage caused by the failure of the card.

I had something similar happen. My rivatuner overlay won't be frozen on screen, but my keyboard will become unresponsive. Reboot required.

But this is from testing a high overclock; and only occured with GSync ON and with Fullscreen mode enabled. I now test my OC's in Borderless, which Gsync supports.

What happens if you download and run DDU?

Reboot into safe mode and remove your Nvidia drivers and then try installing your GTX 760.
