Bought 21lbs turkey yesterday fresh , brought it to my g/f house since i was gonna be there and i dont know why but her mothers ripped turkey overnight into pieces into freezer. i didn't feel comfortable enough to ask her why she did that and kind of stupid of her, brought turkey for thanksgiving and she cuts it up puts it into freezer. she probably was too lazy to cook it or something, she always lays on the couch, didnt even mention nothing to my g/f, but it pissed me off I go drive 20min bring huge turkey to make my g/f happy and celebrate turkey day with her...

You have my sympathy. Go to McDonalds and get a supersize chicken burger, or whatever they're called.

If your belly is full you are a fortunate human being. Some have it better and others have it worse.

Well there a bunch of canadians that don't have turkey, since our Thanksgiving was the 2nd Monday of October ;)

I'm sorry to hear about the loss of the bird though, that's lame...

LMAO! Can I laugh a bit, please? Don't be upset.

Didn't your gf ask what was up with no turkey? Or didn't she buy and make some herself? I'm a little confused. Oh well, it isn't really the food as much as the spirit of the holiday. I hope that you had fun and intimate moments with your loved ones 'cuz I sure did. :D

If your belly is full you are a fortunate human being. Some have it better and others have it worse.

This precisely why we take one day a year to overtlly celebrate our gratitude for the things we have, and for some it is enjoyed with family and friends. I doubt many families even think of pilgrims and the birth of a nation as the reason for this day. But those who can actually feel gratitiude for the blessings they enjoy, this is your day. Enjoy it.

I too am sorry for Wduagnug's most unfortunate outcome of his most generous gift. I hope you realize many here appreciate the fact you tried. And if it where possible to share my turkey dinner with you, it would be done. That not being practical, please accept my gratitiude for sharing the world with someone as generous and kind as you, and I wish you to have all you stand in need of by the good Grace of God.

You have, in a perverse way, made more gratefull for the blessings of family and friends I have shared my day with. I am sure all who read of your misfortune feel the same.

I didn't. Didn't make it home this year and didn't feel like cooking turkey by myself.

I spent several consecutive Thanksgivings alone, my family always on the other side of the country, and no real close friends locally. That and I always had to work every holiday, being low seniority in the medical field.

It seemed to bother a few people at work more than it did me. A few nurses and doctors would invite me to come spend Thanksgiving with their family, sometimes insisting. I thought that was nice and all, but I politely declined because it would be sorta...weird.

"Hi, none of you know me, but I work with your mom or dad. Ok, now where's the grub?"
