Anyone else watching "Saving Private Ryan" tonight?

NO, Because the scaredy cat network affiliate here in SC decided that the use of the word FVCK might Piss Off the FCC too much.
We're watching The Green Berets, instead.

Nope. Just because I don't care for the movie much.

I agree, they could have picked a better movie.

Sorry, but given the occasion there is NO better movie to show.

Are you saying there's no better war movie than Saving Private Ryan?

It's Friday! I'm certainly not watching TV 🙂

Although I might TiVo it and watch tomorrow afternoon. One of my favorite movies.

Nah, i watched the Documentary on HBO...Letters to Home or something to that effect. It was ok. Then i watched about the first hour or so of "Fog of War".

Ya, they showed it on the West Coast on regular TV. I didn't watch it all but they were allowed to say son of a bitch and god dammit, which sort of surprised me.

The only way Spielberg would have allowed it being shown by networks is if they show it uncut and unedited. It was in the contract between the two.

I caught a few minutes of it at work. We served a warrant on a guy while he was watching it with his wife.

I'm not a war movie buff and so I dont know what choice may be better but I think its safe to assume there are better choices.. I'm just thinking realistically and there are no other movies that fit the mood of Veterans Day and that will draw enough people to watch to make it worthwhile for the networks.

Just out of curiousity, what other movies would you like to see in it's place?
