I love this show. Alton Brown keeps my interested because he explains WHY you have to cook things a certain way, not just simple regurgitation of recipes.

My buddy is constantly raving about the show, and how Alton breaks it all down with the science of cooking and stuff. I really don't care about all that stuff, I just know the food is good and that's all I care about.

I love the "extra hands." He makes it awesomely interesting by telling you everything you don't NEED to know.

Habitually. It's great...my sister loves the show too, she cooks more than I do.

I love Good Eats. Still working on my DVD collection of episodes. I don't want to pay for the DVDs at the rate they're charging.

Colt 45, check this show out if you can. It is truely one of the only things that will drag me to a TV for any length of time.

BTW I highly recomend the Shun series knifes that he talks about on his show. Best knifes I have used, they feal great in the hand.

The guy is a fvcking genius...he favors technology gadgets too. Alton's style is not old school and proper but rather just about making.... :music: You know the routine. :)

As much as possible. I just met him at a book signing 2 weeks ago. He did a question and answer session for 40 minutes and signed books. I got it all on video and got my 2 cookbooks signed.

Great show. He actually explains why you do things and how they work. He never gives recipes either, just good information.
He even did a show on home brew beer :D
