Anyone else want to murder someone when they talk during a movie or a show?

I fucking hate these people. At what point did you think it was a good idea to have a conversation during a movie or tv show?

I go to the movies quite a bit. I feel talking during the previews is OK, as long as it is done in a whisper, but once the actual movie starts, then it must be all quiet. If talking continues:

First: a polite shush
Second: a stern look and a meaner shush
Third: get the manager

What all the shootings that we have seen in theaters over the last year, no way am I going to get shot because someone is talking during a movie. That's the ushers job!

You can pause on your own TV but in a freaking theatre - The urge to stuff an old sock or whatever is handy does arrive. Murder is a bit harsh. Serious, the only time to talk is during intermission (How many movies have that anymore) or at the end when they roll the credits.

When I watch a movie I hate distractions. It's my time to disconnect my brain and reality and take a mental journey. If I am disturbed I will stab that person in the neck with a fork.

Also, how the hell do women detect the very end of every close sporting event so they can disturb you?

Movies aren't really suitable for watching in public anymore. The low standard of content brings an audience with low standards.

I hate when people get out their phone during a movie. Talking isn't usually too bad, because at least in my experience, most people are fairly discrete about it. You might be able to hear that they're talking, but it usually isn't even loud enough to make it out. Of course, I've had a time or two where people are just boisterous, but it's rare.

Going back to phones, I think going to the movies is a great first date. You wouldn't believe how many lowlifes I've weeded out just by seeing a movie. If you take your phone out during a movie (the actual movie, trailers and credits are okay) and turn the screen on, you will not hear from me again. This one girl had her phone set so they flash would blink whenever she got a text. Holy fudge! That was annoying! D: ...and she kept taking it out to look every time! D: D:
