Anyone else waiting on a Google Music invite?

I got my invite today, uploaded some songs, but I couldn't see how to link it with the Music player on Android. The new 'Music Beta' app does not show the songs I have on the cloud. Do I have to link it manually? From my understanding it should be able to link automatically if the google account with Music Beta is registered on the phone.

I got my invite the other day. I assume that you figured it out by now, but if not, you need to select your gmail account in settings.

I did figure it out when the 'Settings' option show up magically, it wasn't there before. When I asked that question above I only had two options when I hit menu, 'Search' and 'Shuffle'. It was really weird. I even restarted my phone and still there were only the two options. And because I didn't know what other options should be there, I thought that's all I'd get.

I ended up uninstalling the app and reinstall it again right away. Finally the complete menu options show up and I set the link up easily.

Now that you mention it, I think you're right that the settings option wasn't initially available.

I received my invite last week only to discover their uploader doesn't support linux. At least with Amazon's player I can upload songs individually and any new purchase is automatically loaded.

Just got the invite after reading this thread few hours ago.

I added all my songs to their service. So I guess my music is available anywhere now?

Will check it out more later.

I got my invite a few days ago. I like the eclectic collection of music that it came bundled with... there is some pretty cool stuff in there.

Got mine today as well. I'm not sure how much use I'll have for it though. I already keep the music I listen to on my sd card. Streaming over the cell network is such a battery killer.

dont need it, i already have my own "cloud", it's called a 10 TB NAS + Mac Mini + Plex

I received my invite today and promptly began to use it. Then I realized I had to upload my library somewhere. No thanks. I don't have a web-enabled phone, so the need for me is nonexistent at this time. I have an iPod Classic or a laptop for when I'm away from home.

Oh yeah, the library is stored on an unRAID server. Plus the lappy, plus two other desktops.

it plays music
you know, like napster did
back in the 90's

i never once used napster. none of that stuff ever appealed to me.

not a fan of mp3s, to this day. :\

is it supposed to be a free service when complete--load your own files onto "the cloud" with zero repercussions and stream from anywhere you want?
