Anyone else use funny, squeaky, goofy voice when talking to their SO?

I don't even talk in my normal voice anymore. I'm always talking in goofy and squeaky voice when I talk to my gf now. Half of it was for fun and rest is more like became a habit. Does anyone else do that? or am I just too weird..

Your voice pitch and tone will change dependant on who you are talking to and what type of relationship you have. For some it is just more noticable.

My sister's voice would start to go into girly squeaky mode anytime she talked to her boyfriend at the time. After they got married not so much.

This is true. I ALWAYS know exactly who my spouse is talking to on the phone as soon as I hear him speak.

Everytime I call my boyfriend, or he calls me, I pretend to be Beavis from Beavis and Butthead, and I always say "Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, hello? Someone told me I could find, like, hot chicks by calling this number" 😱

Holy fvck. I had this suitemate once who talked to his gf on the phone all of the time...and he spoke to her like she was his child.

It was beyond annoying.

Not too often. Usually just for single words, though I think I only changed my voice on Spanish words.

Never had pet names though, except "baby." 😛

Uh, no. But we were friends for a long time before this. In my experience, people who are disconnected from their partners do that. If being together in the same place, or talking to each other on the phone, or something is a non-event, then you don't do it.

And the closest we come to pet names is me occasionally calling her K (short for Kay, which is short for Kayla) because I'm truly a lazy ****** and abbreviated a 5-letter name (seriously, a 5 letter name doesn't need two syllables!)

I'm a bit curious as to how one would pronounce 'Kay' so that using 'k' would be shorter............

No. My roommate does when he is on the phone with his gf. He will do it when he is with her too.

I find it very annoying since the conversations go for hours.

No, but I do a confused sounding impersonation of her voice when she does something stupid (she has ZERO mechanical and technological aptitude).

sounds like you have some personal issues that might need professional help to rectify..

LOL. Hell yea. Me and llizardth do it all the time... Almost literally. We are married, and we don't have to worry about being embarrassed or something in front of the other. So we do what we want. 🙂

PS: Liz is a poopie head.
