Anyone else use Adelphia Powerlink? It sucks doesnt it.....

I have lost my service before for a week staight. I have constant outages that last only a few minutes, but its still a pain. Then this morning I had no service for 3 hours. Anyone else have this problem?

Adelphia just bought out our local suck-ass cable company here, and I was really hoping to switch to their cable service from DSL, but I have heard so much bad stuff about Powerlink that I don't think its going to happen

It sounds like an excellent deal too.

Not to mention pings of over 1600 on weeknights, and when you call about them, they tell you basically its just too bad, deal. I agree, Adelphia sucks.

 

I have powerlink in buffalo.
Last couple weeks were pretty bad here.
But they were installing new fiber, so I gave them some time.
Lately its been working fine.
Just gets laggy during busy times (obviously). And ill be d@mned if im going to use their DNS servers.
Seriously, they must have like a 486 running that.

I live in cheektowaga (outside buffalo) and I had both powerlink and verizon dsl. The powerlink was balls compared to Time Warner Road Runner i had in horseheads before i moved... road runner was much better but i chalk that up to the smaller population. My adelphia service was sh1t, i was down for a week once and service was generally slow most the time. I cancelled that and got verizon dsl. It was a little better but still not fast enough for the money. I'm on dial up now and i don't miss the crap that is verizon dsl and adelphia powerlink.
