Anyone else tried playing the free GTA from rockstar? Link provided

If you didn't know, rockstar is letting anyone download the original Grand Theft Auto for PC, for free.

I downloaded and installed, but the game runs like @$$ on my nice computer.

Anyone else have this problem and know how to remedy it?

anyway, at the bottom of that page there is an explanation now on how to fix the crappyness. Wasnt there before!

If you experience choppy or jerky gameplay, try turning the frame limiter off by pressing 'F8'. You may need to then adjust your resolution by pressing 'F11' to slow the game down, but it should play smoothly.

tried that. frame limiter off and game at max resolution, it runs 20 times faster than it should, so fast you cant control it
