Asus doesn't seem to give much details on what changed in each BIOS release -- I heard that 1007.002 was very unstable and I'm sure I saw that as well so I pulled down .003 over the weekend and flashed it -- I'm now very stable at 150FSB and my DVD ROM issue seems to have disappeared (would get I/O errors or not recognize disk in drive).
However, this q-fan thing seems flakey -- setting it to anything below 15/15 resutls in CPU Fan RPMS <2200 which gives asusprobe the fits -- I don't remember either way on what 1006.xxx did in this case -- do others see that?
