It's annoying but understandable. If I was MS I'd probably be doing the same thing.

But your screwed after 727428509 days, it probably won't active. Then what are you going to do, stuck out around the rings of saturn and no way to play solitaire.

Never tried it but just out of curiosity if I bump the system date in the BIOS up say 100 years when I first install the OS and then back it off to the correct date after everything is up and running will I achieve similar results? It has to base the 30 days on something and if this is how they are doing it it would seem to be a very simple way around activation.
