A bunch of those are now official medal sports though, like basketball, baseball, and curling., IIRC.

true, but cheering and watching one's own country and its athletes is part of the fun. I like seeing the 100 meter dash...I love watching an American come in first, just as a Russian would love to see Russia come in first.


Yeah... if you lucky you like the sport that the all rights holder NBC deems newsworthy. Their coverage sucks so bad it isn't even funny!
