Anyone else think Michele Norris from NPR...

Probably spent too much time around librarians, but every time I see her picture it doesn't kind of work out.

It's probably something with the mics or somsthing but even on Meet the press the face still doesn't match the voice.

Never saw her picture before, but the mental image I had was of a middle aged white woman (not necessarily a librarian but that image would have worked mentally).

I just looked her up on NPR, and yeah, I agree with your sentiment.

You've discovered a phenomena we've come across in the office called "telephone hot." We used to work with this one distributor lady who had a GREAT voice on the phone, and was always extremely helpful, quick, and very capable. Her voice just had this pleasing ring to it, it made you happy, calmed you down even if you were having a bad day. Everyone liked her. Some of us even started joking about "I wonder what she looks like?" But that is dangerous. You can never know what she looks like. It ruins the fantasy if you ever see her, because 9 times out of 10 she will not live up to whatever your imagination has created. Most of the time it isn't even close.

I liked listening to Michele Norris, I imagined her as a reasonably attractive late 30's white housewife, someone who is not drop dead gorgeous, but has aged well, with classic and conservative good features. Thanks for ruining my fantasy.

I don't see a problem. It's just the imagined appearance based on the voice, versus the reality.

Do0d, it's often the outwardly prim and proper ones that tear your clothes off and wildly wear you out in private.

Isn't she half black? That would instantly make her less appealing than even a man to the racist ATOTers. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere she's mixed.

*not aimed at OP just ATOTers in general lol*

no problem at all.... and yeah she is cute but it's not a beauty/race/age thing. I am sure what it is.

She's very attractive and I am not trying to make this a racial at all and don't even see it as that. Going back to triumph's comment, we build up this expectation due to a lack of information.

<---human, a product of his environment, his parents with natural bias, but there isn't any hate here at all for anyone🙂

I just googled Garison Keeler too.. shouldn't have done that...I always imagined him as 'Wilson' from the tv show "home improvement"

So what's wrong with how Garrison Keeler looks? I look just like him except he has hair and fifty more pounds.
