I find myself speding more time than it's worth to save just a couple bucks. How about you? Of course RossMan makes a good lving from it so who knows.

I like saving as much as the next guy like at newegg and costco but the whole scrolling of the hot deal threads to find just the right deal, the coupon hunting, the rebate tracking seems not worth it.
 
i usually dont partcipate in any deals that need MIR, i might take the time to price match but mostly i just keep my eyes open.
 
It kind of gives me that challenge and the bragging rights too. If I find a hot deal, it gives me a reason to buy it. That's why I'm so broke. Plus, I have nothing else to do except BS about Hot Deals at work, what else would I do at work? 😀

Foundle yourself? 😉 😉 I like hotdeals. If only to consider all the free mag subs i've gotten. PC Gaming, PC Mag, GamePro, PS2, Stuff, Maxim.....a few more. 😉 Plus I got my Brother laser printer for a mear $100 🙂

Really. I find it useful. Whenever I have something to buy I always look there first.

Are Hot Deals awsome? Yes.

Depends what you get, every Hot Deal i get is generally pretty awsome & hot. I don't get everything, or even close to everything, listed in ATHD.
 
ive signed up for some free things, and have received the guiness flying disk and the NASA earth science packet.

i dont fool with rebates or pricematching tho. im too lazy.

I just picked up a 16 port quiet switch and a Dell Truemobile 2300 series router/wireless AP for $90!
I am glad the hot deal forums are there when i need the.
Though i do think they are filled with allot of stuff no one really cares about.
 
usually u can find some really good deals, back in the day they had tons of deas (I'm still paying off some of that stuff) 😛

Nothing wrong at all with Hot Deals - I don't think it should be limited to just computer stuff. I appreciate a free Coke, a cheap meal, or discounts at other places that I frequent.
 
I try to stay away from the rebate deals also, although I did go in on that 22 dollar hard drive last month. Also it seems like fatwallet is more active for hot deals, at least the deals get posted there usually first, plus coupon codes are permitted over there. So if there were any deals that I see here first I gotta go to fatwallet to get the codes.

i love hot deals... maybe too mcuh..because when i open the forum i always have to buy something. looking back, it hasnt saved me much money, but it was a catalyst for me wanting to buy stuff as my digital camera and such
