Anyone else think 24 is weak this season?

I still think it is one of the better shows on TV, but this whole thing with the Salazar's is getting ridiculous. The deal is off! No, it's back on! Wait a sec, it's back off again!
The show needs to start progressing in a hurry, IMO.

I don't dislike the show...I'm just a little disappointed this year I guess.

remember... the whole events of the season take place over the course of 24 hours. Granted there will be setbacks and stuff, but for the most part... it is fastpaced.

imagine what you go thru in a single day when dealing with events, and now image those events having global disaster written on them :p

The first season was great. I watched the first few episodes of the second season, but then kinda lost interest.

Agreed. The 1st season rocked and the 2nd kept pace with it pretty well. This season has been a major letdown. 24 isn't even the best show on Tuesday nights anymore, Line of Fire is my new favorite.

Well, we are up to 72 now, I guess. I haven't watched it since the first season, so I couldn't tell you. Seems cool from the commercials, though.

Somebody in a previous thread pointed out the major problem with this year: too many appearing and disappearing subplots that add NOTHING to the story in the end.

Where's Kyle Singer, his girlfriend, and his parents?
How did Tony get shot in the neck, only to be back into the swing of things THREE HOURS LATER?! Why even have a subplot like that?
Where's the president's girlfriend who was being mudslinged in the presidential campaign?
Claudia's now dead. Then why was so much focus placed on her during the show in the first place?
Why does Hector have ONE look (extremely pissed-off) throughout the whole entire show?

I think its more in a lull, but you never know who they are going to kill off in 24.

it is pretty dull this season. I've been watching it while reading a book lately. plus Kim has been wearing way too much clothing.

i haven't watched any of season 3 yet, but i saw seasons 1 and 2 on DVD and mb that is a better experience than watching it all season long. the first two were amazing. right now, i'm trying to decide whether i should start watching season 3 NOW or just wait till next year and get it all on dvd.

Wait. It's always best to get the whole story from start to finish, rather than jumping in mid-way and playing catch-up.

im dissapointed with the characters

kim is a piece of ass and nothing more making her into an agent was stupid, she needs to be running away from moutain lions in a bikini or something like that

chase is a douche, i wish they would have wrapped a tire around him and set him on fire a la the Shield

and that whiney bitch chloe needs thrown down a flight of stairs

Amen. To me, making Kim an agent was a "jump the shark" moment. She was the stupidest character on TV for two seasons, now she's a computer-whiz agent that has it all together? Gimme a break. Trying to turn braindead eye-candy into a real person never works. Can you imagine how Married with Children would have been if in season 3 they suddenly turned Kelly into an 'A' student?

i totally agree. they messed her up this year too. she doesn't even look that hot IMO. they need to fix her hair, get her in a bikini, and have her spend all day at a pool...perhaps competing in a wet t contest. now that would make for good TV!
