I I rencently signed up for ATT's UVerse offering. I live in one of the neighborhoods where this service is being offered as a trial. So far everything seems to work pretty well and dsl is much more reliable than my roadrunner was. No HD at this point, but that is supposed to be available in a few months when they get their HD set top boxes. Anyone else have IPTV services available to them?

For this discussion no. I think we would all rather have FTTP, but FTTN is not looking too bad at this point.

Looks like they aren't offering HDIPTV service to anyone yet.

From the arstechnica discussions a few weeks ago, I think this offering might have limited capabiities compared with Verizon's extensive and ridiculously robust FTTP implementation.

I have been told that HD will be available as soon as the set top boxes were available. This may not be for those customers who want multiple HD streams at once. Right now my dsl is synced at 25/3 and they say that is good enough 3 SD and 1 HD stream at once. A tech said I should be able to sync at 40/10. I dont know how big the HD streams are going to be either. Anyone know how much space mpeg4 takes up as I think this is what they will be using.
