I just put together the following:
asus p3v4x, 6/2000 bios
p3 600e slot 1 costa rica 00080836-483 sl3h6 stock hs/f, but heat is no problem, chip runs @100 degrees f
aopen 128 pc133 markings mira p2v6453odtp 02599aoc -75
diamond stealth 4x extreme 32 meg
antec 300 watt ps (it came with the case)
heres the scoop;
it ran fine @600 but as we all know, you just cant leave it @that
popped it up to 840, no video, lowered to 800, same.
both @ default voltage, anything else, same result.
put it @ 6x 124/31 posts and runs great @744.
burned it in for a week, now it wont work in anything else but 124/31, it wont even go back down to 100!
tried to teeter-totter it back and forth to raise the fsb, but no luck.
744 is great, but this board and chip should do at least 840
Any thoughts on different settings? Ram not adequate?
