Anyone else read Executive Orders? How close do you think this relates?

Wasn't that attack by a Japanese airline pilot though? That was dealing with a conflict in the Far East, not the Mideast (not that we know EXACTLY who's responsible for all this yet.)

Actually it was all intertwined. China and the Middle East were involved. But it was mostly orchestrated by the Middle East. India was involved as well.

But there were diversions for the US military before it started out. China created a diversion in the strait between Taiwan and China forcing US ships out there. Then in the middle east as well. Where are our ships these days? And how long will it take them to make it back?

Oh yeah, that's right. I forgot about all that. It's been awhile since I read the book (obviously.) Maybe I'll have to dust it off and reread it again. They may have to do a reprint of that book after all of this. I'm sure it will get a lot of mentions by all the talking heads.

Was it Executive Orders? I thought it was Debt of Honor that had the plane slamming into Congress. Guess I need to go back and re-read some of the books.

One had the plane get hijacked and maybe crashed, the next picked right up where the other ended...

Debt of Honor was the one with the gas tanks.

Been years since I read them, but I do remember that.

It was Debt of Honor when the plane actually crashed into the Capitol. This was at the very end of the book. Jack Ryan was sworn in as president at the end. Executive Orders picked up right where Debt of Honor left out.
