How are you defining the term "Race"? In most of your OP you're referring yourself as various nationalities/enthic groups?

In the same sense that people typically do. Don't read into it so much.

The flash is right in my face, so it brightens my skin a bit. I'm far from pale. And I have chubby cheeks, but far from a fatty. :p

I'm mostly definitely not Danish. How dare you.

Based on other people's reactions, this is what I get:
A. Irish + Taiwanese + SoCal = Mexican or Filipino... mostly Mexican

B. Irish + Taiwanese + !(SoCal) = Hawaiian or !(White)

Interestingly, I also notice this:
C. Irish + Taiwanese != White

D. Irish + Taiwanese != Chinese

I'm shunned by both of my ethnic groups... I should learn Spanish just so I'll have some people of my own.

I'm guessing there's probably a bit of Eastern European in there - may Polish, or possible Russian.

My initial throught was Turkish, or possibly a nearby central European area - Bulgaria, perhaps.

Yep. People say that I look hispanic (until they get a good look at my eyes). Truth is, I'm probably more asian (oriental) than anybody else I know, seeing that my blood consists of Mongolian, Chinese, Japanese, Fillipino, Indian, some German, and I think 3-5 others that I forgot. I'm known as the UN baby. :D

The correct answer. But he knew from something I said in a thread many, many years ago.

My mom is german. East german. She is quite possibly the palest woman alive. She's also part polish and jewish. I look almost nothing like her.

My dad on the other hand, is sicilian. Sicilans are very dark. Very. Mainland italians like to make jokes about how sicilians are black. But there is some truth to this...siciliy is a boat ride away from mainland africa, and there have been many a war in the past between siciliy and mainland africa. I'm sure quite a few genes from the african gene pool slipped in there over time. In fact, when I was a kid, we took a trip to italy, and the waitress at a restaurant said to my dad "Cute kid...too bad he's so dark." :p

Italians often guess right. I look FAR more like my dad than my mom. Being the mainland italy lies pretty much smack in the middle, average the distance out, and I end up looking like a darkish mainland italian.

So in the end, I'm a whitey. The polls reflect that, partially because I still do look like a white boy, but I'm sure if anyone combed through the OP, they could figure it all out based on that. I'm guessing if I posted just the pic somewhere else, I'd get a more varied response.

My skin tone throws most people off. I'm just too dark for people to assume I'm white. If I have any hint of facial hair on me (I usually do), people assume middle eastern, otherwise, they go for hispanic. During the summer, when it gets real hot, and I get real tanned, I start hearing indian more often. I also have somewhat slanted eyes, and in the context of living in flushing, I hear asian quite a bit. My gf is 100% mainland italian, but she also has somewhat slanty eyes, and hell, even I thought she might be half-asian before I got to know her, so it's not an uncommon thing for italians. People guess native american when they have no other idea, because no one really sees many of them around.

It's actually kind of a blessing. It throws stereotypes off, when you cant neatly fit someone into a category. I can blend in nearly anywhere.
