Don't know. Still won't fix the overly sensitive screen.
Thats how a real smartphone is supposed to be. You've gotten used to the lag shit LG Dare, which is why you're having problems with a responsive phone.
Over time you'll get used to it though.

lol well then i challenge you . I will be using swype![]()
Lets put it this way. Do a search on youtube on iphone speed typing and you'll see plenty of people that can type insanely fast. If alot of people can type fast on the iphone and you can't, the fault lies on you and not the phone.
Just found out you cannot get a 1 year contract with the Iphone. Only a 2 which is a major DEAL BREAKER for me.
same. shitty that verizon and apple are going to screw all the cdma ip4 adopters, but its a good way to score some etf fees and make some serious bank when ip5 rolls out in 4 months.
This is unfortunately one of the main reasons I'm considering buying a Thunderbolt and not waiting for the Bionic. If it switches before then I will be seriously annoyed. They also have a good FUD pitch in that "Well you better sign up now and lock in your unlimited data before the tiering kicks in".
The store I was in yesterday had sales people saying it was going to switch over in the next week or two.
And I'll put it this way...there are people that can hunt and peck type 100 wpm, does that mean that the rest of us who are two handed, home keyers are wrong too?
It's called a preference. It's the same thing as a manual vs. automatic argument. I grew up on mechanical keyboards with actual feed back and simply prefer some sort of acknowledgement of button press.
Like I said, I love the touch screens for everything else. Flipping through music lists, browsing calenders, web browsing, basic navigation, ect. But when it comes to things like typing and entering phone numbers, I like my real keys.
If you take your iPhone off vibrate the keys will make a tick noise. I found this noise feedback increased my typing speeds quite a bit.
Cool. I'll have to try it out again. I'll see if they can take the security thing off so I can get it into landscape mode and then bump up the volume on it.
Also, can anyone comment on what happens for message notifications? I read some comments that the iphone doesn't give a notifier when a new txt is received. Is that true?
...it will keep alerting you until you acknowledge the text.
I believe it will only give you two extra notifications (3 total?). i.e., it won't be beeping all night if you fail to acknowledge it.
I think I'm the only one who thinks the Android soft keyboards are better than iPhone ones (although it's probably more a function of the bigger screen size on my Evo vs my iPod touch).
One thing that I love on Android is the Handcent popup reply box, which is like the iPhone notification but with a text input box so that you can reply without ever switching applications.
As for the VZW iPhone, I'm on Sprint so it's a no go for me, but I guess my dad's been eyeing them (he's always used the 99 cent phones up until now).
Yeah I think something like that for the iPhone natively would be good. You can get the samething as android (chompSMS?) on the iPhone, but you have to jailbreak.
I recently just jailbroke my iphone just to use BiteSMS. Its a pretty slick app. Something I've noticed about Jailbreaking though, it makes your phone unstable. I guess its an acceptable tradeoff.

how unstable is it? my ex used to complain her ipod would get super unstable, but i JBed my iPod Touch 1G, helped another friend JB a iPod Touch 2G and I JBed my own iPod touch 4G recently. Never any stability problems. I ran with stock for a while too, and I haven't seen much of a difference.
If there are app stability issues, those are strictly app only because I've seen App Store updates giving me fixes for those crashes.
