Anyone else play Rock Band at Best Buy?

How did I miss the memo? All this time, I thought it was coming out only for the 360 & PS/3 and just found out that it is coming out for the PS/2 as well, only a month later instead. SWEET!!!!! With the possibility of being able to use my GH guitars, I may seriously consider picking this up for the PS/2 at some point. Since >2 ppl can play it, does that I mean I need to go pick up a PS/2 MultiTap?

Also - does anyone know if there's going to be a "free play" mode, at least for the drums? I was thinking it might be cool to be able to use it as a "virtual" drum kit - be able to play whatever you want on it & improvise.
 
Went to BB today and saw some guys playing it so I joined in. I actually enjoyed it a lot. For some reason the guitar felt easier to use than the GH2 guitar. I didn't get a chance to play the drum because there was so many people there but the game was fun. Don't know if I wanna spend money on another of these guitar/band games but I'm very tempted!
 
FYI- Harmonix has said that the demo-gear is pre-production gear and isn't as durable as the actual game equipment...
 
i was watching some vids on youtube and what not and this looks like a blast. anyone know if there will be online play?

Haven't been paying attention to this game much have you? 😉

Yes, online play is a huge part of this game. You make a band and play through career online with the other 3 members of your band.

Stores were limited on how many preorders they could accept. I just looked and don't see it either. I preordered mine about 3 months ago from Gamestop.

awesome, what if one person cant be present ? can the 3 others still play and progress? and what happens the next day when the 4th shows up to play?

You just need 2 players to play Band World Tour. You can swap in and out players as long as the leader is playing.

Online Band World Tour will not be available once the game comes out. They will add it later on via DLC.

Edit2: I just pre-ordered from Newegg.com. It was only $159.99, no tax, and shipping was only $4.99???

$165 after everything... compared to $200+ after tax/shipping at most places.

I didn't see anybody charging more than $170 for 360 and PS3... I thought that was standard price? BB and Gamestop both have the pack marked at $169.99
