Heading out to Palm Springs in a few hours.

Half day today.
Then off to go to the airport to swim through a sea of ill tempered humanity to board my designated cattle car with the rest of the herd, provided there are no delays (sure, right, uh huh).

Oh man, I see you live in Chicago. Heading to O'Hare? I spent about 3 hours there the last time I flew through there. I swear, everytime I fly through there I get delayed for a few hours.
I'm glad I'm not flying this week. We have a 1.5 hour drive in a few hours and that's it. I'm taking my road bike (bicycle) so I can get in some mileage when we're at my Mother-In-Law's house. I get along with her well. She's a martini drinker, like me.

Yep, ORD.
Well, at least it isn't supposed to snow this year. Last time I did this I was delayed 13 hours and the restraunts/bars had all closed up. The masses were most unhappy. I got to see a traveler and a ticket agent duke it out at a gate.
Driving anywere out of this city today will only be a slightly smaller disaster. The highways are going to be jammed like no other.

Well, good luck! Hope you don't get delayed this year.
