So every now and then when typing I'll get little hang-ups on the keyboard on my focus. It'll just skip a few letters completely then be fine the next second. Has anyone else noticed this on their wp7? I don't remember having it happen on my hd7 so I'm wondering if its just the focus or maybe my phone is kind of screwed up.

No such issues on my Surround, though I do notice that for me personally, once I mispell something it takes me 3-4 tries to get it right, just because I keep hitting the wrong letters over and over again.

Hmm, do you guys think I should replace my phone? Maybe I'll try resetting my phone before returning it, maybe an app I have is causing it.

A reset wouldn't hurt. Maybe some rogue app is giving itself push notifications too frequently?

It has happened to me once, and restarting the phone fixed it and it hasn't happened again. I'm not sure what caused it, but I'd be typing along and when I looked back down a few words would be missing.

My weirdest moment was my phone mic not working until I restarted the phone. I'm excited for the Jan update :p

I haven't had my mic go out, but at one point the audio stopped working. Either with headphones or the speakers. Reboot fixed it, but it felt wrong.

I haven't had the issue on my Quantum, but I use the physical keyboard 95% of the time.

Ugh, even after doing a factory reset I'm still seeing it happen, time to get a replacement I think. I got this through amazon and the guy left it by my door and it was about 20 degrees out when he did it....wouldn't surprise me if that damaged it. Hopefully the replacement I get works fine because I like this phone a lot but this issue is just way too annoying to put up with.

On my iPhone4 when I launch the messaging app for the first time, occasionally there will be an initial hang up. After the slight stutter though the typing is smooth sailing from there.

Maybe WP7 is experiencing the same thing.

Hmm this is a little different it happens to me after the the messaging app has been opened for a while. Either way I called amazon and they're sending me a replacement phone with 1 day shipping and they didn't even want a deposit or anything so I'm pretty happy about that. Luckily I'm going to be home the day it's delivered as well so I won't have to leave the package out in the cold for hours like the last time.

Your phone was exposed to 20 degree Fahrenheit temperatures?! Yeah, it's probably really messed up. Your phone should be kept between 65 and 90 degrees at all times.

I've never had the key skipping problem. But then, I keep my Focus very well climate controlled.

good luck with that pretty much anywhere. when im in michigan during the winter, i know my phone will get under 65 if its out of my pocket. here in az, you can guarantee it will get over 90 in the summer time. i did actually overheat a phone once, last summer when it hit 125 and i was working in a chiller room. a 2 hour phone call and the heat/ humidity destroyed the display.

Well actually elecectronic components usually have ranges down into the negative Celsius range, if anything it would be the oled screen that I would be worried about. I was just guessing though, its probably more likely it was damaged during shipping or some component just isn't performing to spec and made it through qc.

Oh yea, its totally me. Over a year with an iPhone and that screen size got me used to their key placement.

Here is a question for the WinMoPho users out there. Anyone else having issues downloading pictures in emails. Specifically inline ones, not ones that are sent as attachments?

I haven't, but I've read that gmail users that use push instead of a timed schedule have that issue. I just have my gmail forwarded to hotmail.

Now I'm thinking my phone needs a winter coat to go with its case...

I think that I have tried it without Push turned on, but the problem persisted. Maybe I will try setting up forwarding.
