I have noticed a significant amount of negativity. Far too many PFY's are posting about their long term relationships with girls they have known for 3 months. Adolescents who have been cited for exceeding the speeding limit are whining and looking for ways to get out of their infractions without taking any responsibility at all.

I suppose I could go on, but maybe that isn't what you were talking about.

BTW, I'm a happy puppy.

The only time I'm not depresed is in when I'm on my motorcycle. Of course, it's kinda hard when the outside temp barely reaches 35 degrees.

How about the ones that ask questions that there is no possible way to respond to? " I just took a test, how do you think I did?"

I say we vote for a sticky thread. If your dog is hurt or sick, go to a vet. If you are hurt or sick, go to the doctor.

It probably has more to do with the median age here, than any sort of over-population of ATOT with depressed people.

Most of the readers here suffer from one version or another of teenage angst, and dont have the life experience to deal with some of the everyday issues that abound in their lives.

So I vote more a lack of maturity than a particularly depressed crowd.

I used to be all positive and sh*t, but with my life the way it is, you'd be hard pressed not to be depressed. (And no, it's not as slight as those previously described cases.) But I also don't go posting about it either.

And I agree, society as a whole is pretty f*cked up, and with this forum's age makeup as it is, we're bound to get more whiners. :)

BTW, Rei, nice nick/sig :)

I think you nailed it and coming here with their problems and questions only exacerbates their problems.

i wouldn't say people here are more depressed than anywhere else. you just have an enviroment where you have a large group of mostly strangers, so it's easier for some people to talk about it than in other situations.
