Anyone else not see any LOTR or Matrix movies?

Maybe I'm not nerdy enough for ATOT, but I have not seen a single LOTR or Matrix movie. They look boring to me, and I think their appeal is based more on the fact that they're the only epic trilogies to choose from. I guess each generation needs one. I'll stick with the original Star Wars.

I only watch few movies, about three a year. They have to be super good and I've already used my three up this year.

I saw the 3 Matrix.

Saw the first LOTR and feel sleep during the movie...have not been back to see or will see them.

I saw both Matrix movies, Fellowship of the Ring, and the Two Towers.
What are you going to do about it?

You haven't seen these movies but you say they look boring to you. Fine. But you haven't seen them so you really don't know. You might enjoy them, you might not. Not a big deal either way. From all of the threads on here about Return of the King you might get the idea that people enjoy the Lord of the Ring movies and you would be right. Everyone has their own opinions and likes different things, doesn't mean everyone that likes these movies are nerds and just because you don't like them doesn't mean that you are not a nerd.

By the way, I also enjoyed the original Star Wars trilogy. The Lord of the Rings are just as epic but, of course, they were taken from well established novels. This could have been a bad thing as the legion of Tolkien fans would comb over every detail. So, in a sense, there was more risk in making these movies. Star Wars is classic and great film making. That doesn't mean Lord of the Rings is any less so.

I saw the first of both matrix and LOTR, and bought the 2nd matrix dvd because it was $9.99, still haven't seen it yet, and I haven't seen the 2nd or 3rd LOTR yet. 🙁

I saw the first 2 matrix and LOTR movies. LOTR, I've given up on...it's too damn boring. I'll probably never see the third. Matrix, I just haven't gotten a chance to see Revolutions. I guess I'll wait for the DVD.
