My Internet connection usually has a 99% uptime so I dont have that much of an issue.

Ok, but also, with a laptop being your primary computer, you also get mobile, and sometimes you don't have an internet connection, which is a down side.

I ripped most of my CD's back in the day, and acquired pretty much every other song that I like in MP3 format, so yes, I still listen to MP3's. I have no need for radio (streaming or otherwise) anymore.

yeah i have them on a hard drive that i don't even have connected to my computer 99% of the time. the thing is, if i really like music, i buy it, so by default, all my mp3's are music i didn't like nearly as much as my CD's.

my MP3s are strictly for my iPod, or for music that i can't get in lossless. otherwise it's all lossless.

My car plays mp3 cds and so does my portable cd player so I pretty much don't listen to anything but mp3s. When I get a new cd the first thing I do is rip it to mp3.

I don't really listen to my MP3 collection anymore. It's about 65GB of wasted harddisk space. Some I like to fire up to share with a friend, but I've purchased more CDs lately than anything. Although, I do make copies of my real audio CDs because in the car, there's just no telling what can happen to your CDs! Originals stay inside. 😛
