2 hours? Shit I went 1000 miles away. My sister is 4000 miles away. I can't deal with the way my mom is with the house and her cleanliness.

<------ Wonders if OP's parents paid for CC and are paying for education now.
Or, is he using Student loans/grants and working. I guess we will never know.

I back traced the OP through this and sent his parents a link to this thread. The consequences will never be the same.

Two hours is nothing. You could easily go home for a weekend, or even just a day.

You need to put more distance, it's still too convenient for you to get home! Put at least 12 hours between you and your folks.

Nope. I actually like my parents. They're always there if I need help and only try to help if I ask.

Weeee mine are like that too :D
They even let me move back in with them when going to university a second time. They don't hassle any of my guests (men or women), and they adore my current girlfriend.

I'm another person who gets along very well with my parents. I can't see into the future, but if/when I settle down and raise some youngins I would love being close to my parents.

Exact opposite for me. Parents do not like my girlfriend and she is easily the nicest girl I have evr been with.

3000 miles. I'm from Oregon and moved to Florida two months after high school. I like them fine, just not ALL the time.

Hell, I dropped out of high school, enlisted in the Marine Corps and went to Vietnam...

Nope, they moved away for me, one to PA and another to GA.
Distance makes the relationship work better :)

I moved away for college, but then moved back... and just recently moved from being 45 minutes away to being 5 minutes because I'm practically there every weekend anyways, especially now that I have a niece (and my sister lives right down the block from our parents)
