Anyone else modified their z-560's?? :)

I put a JL Audio 8w1, 4ohm in the sub. It sounds....delightful😀. Maybe even a little too much bass (as if there wasn't enough to begin with). The low end is much cleaner and more defined. Not so muddy. Sure it was $70, but I don't regret it. If my family can't handle the bass, I'll throw it in the warrantied box and put it in my truck!!

Unless you have a Sawzall and a drill.😉 I have the bass all the way down both on the control pod and in software and still it's enough. Sheesh! That paper cone on the stock driver really sucks.

45$ bucks aint a bad price. doubt you could build anything cheaper than that...unless you used construction paper, some magnets and some old plywood laying around.
