Oh so true, but if you practice, you can calamari...;)

I like fresh-caught albacore. In years past, I used to take one or two of the charters out of Emeryville to go chase albacore. WOOHOO! What a blast that is. Long stinkin boat ride both ways though...(IIRC, it makes for about 18+ hours on the boat...sometimes over 30 hours if fishing is good, or if they're a bit farther off-shore) but in a can? No thanks.

I used to eat a pack of the hickory smoked tuna a day-5 days a week. However, my heart start to beat irregularly so I went to the doctor & found out I had high levels of mercury in my system. Doc said normal levels were 1-9 but my level was 17.

whats the guidelines for number of cans/week/month for watching your mercury levels. I like it as cheap protein but worry about eating 25 cans per week

I like mixing in a little bit of mayo, salt & pepper, and finely chopping up some celery to mix in. It makes great dip for Wheat Thins.

25 cans per week?! Christ's teeth, you may as well just slit your wrists with one of the jagged lids.

I love tuna. Tuna with mayo, crazy salt, olive oil and vinegar on pita FTW.

Had tuna steaks last night. We got about 5 lbs of Bluefin for free :) They were cheek cuts too!

My dad was washing his boat on Saturday when this guy pulls up to the dock with an 80lb Bluefin. Guy had no idea how to fillet it. My dad did it for him and got free fish! I can't wait to get out there this month. We usually catch 300lbs of tuna a year. Makes for a tasty summer.
