watched the pilot last night. not bad and it will keep me watching the next one. the acting is tough to watch in this show at parts though. the captain is really bad. when he tried to do his emotional speech at the end to let his crew know they weren't going home, it was really painful to watch that scene. same with when he was trying to cry when watching his family video. oh, and when the black dude got infected and had to off himself. just some very painful scenes to watch acting wise.

I have to say I didn't like it. It had a low budget feeling to it. Tired plot and Rhona Mitra is just to old to be considered hot. I also wonder how they are going to advance the plot. They are stuck on a ship have no provisions and can't go on land without risking all their lives.

I don't think she is supposed to be hot, but I admit its hard not to remember what she used to look like.

I agree with the low budget feel, and the poor acting. I wouldn't say that I disliked it, but I wasn't that interested either. When I break out the laptop during a show its usually not a good sign.

I saw, was entertained. yes it does have that cheese factor. but your not watching Jean de Florette directed by Marcel Pagnol.

I am not sure if the show will be able to hold past several episodes. lets see how they work it.

I watched it when it first aired. Its a 6/10 so far for me. Entertaining enough story wise to keep me watching for now. Will give it a few more episodes.

But i always have problems with shows when it centers around the Navy but only cause i work on their boats. Laughed at all the Navy propaganda (not sure thats the right word).
Like when they came under attack and they went from weapons system to weapons system to show them all off. Just little things Im sure the Navy had a hand in since portions were shot on two actual destroyers

i dunno i guess you are looking for stuff like that. i never once thought of this as any kind of propaganda. but then again, i watch shows and movies to be entertained and nothing more.

I for one enjoyed the props and shit.
The nuke blast was cool, but is it SOP to gear up in bunker gear for a nuke blast? LOL

I actually enjoyed the first 2 more than last night´s episode. I´ll still keep watching though, especially if its only 9 episodes total.

Yep. It's just trendy to hate on Michael Bay.

Not really. For every entertaining movie he's made there's at least 2 shitty ones. See Transformers franchise. 1st one was entertaining, next three were just one long climax of mind-numbing explosions. I'm not looking forward to what he's probably going to do with Independence Day 2 either.

I watched Doomsday (film from 2008) yesterday (also with Rhona Mitra).
It's about a pandemic that kills everyone, and she plays the main character.
And there is military stuff.

not trendy at all. It's been a common response to his work ever since he started crapping out half-baked movies.

The ubiquity of the internet came around after he started making movies, so maybe it just seems new to some people?

as for this show? Saw a preview in the theater a month ago. Looks really bad. Didn't realize Bay was involved, and, well, that explains things.

I don't understand how they rescued the man and the woman after they crashed a boat full of explosives into the Russian ship when they were suppose to be incognito. Did they swim 2 miles or something?

lol yeah they kind of glanced over that. i think the captain said something about sending out some type of boat to go pick them up though.

I don't believe Bay is actually involved, there has only been an average of 3 explosions per episode.

Rhona Mitra is also weird looking. I'm not attracted to her at all.
