Anyone else looking forward to Pain on the PSN tomorrow?

I can't decide. I'm not even entirely sure what the point of the game is supposed to be. Sony really needs to start releasing demos of all their PSN titles.

not at all ... go look at the gameplay vids on gamersyde.com.

it looks like one of those web based flash games that get boring after 10-15 minutes. the physics in it are terrible too.

I may get this game, looks like fun. Flatout was great fun, just because you hurled your dude on dart boards, from 100's of yards away. Looks like it can be a fun, no thinking game. Those are good every now and then.

They do, most of the time. I played a demo of that Duck game, before I bought it. And the RC car game, etc.

Physics look fine to me, especially considering it used Havok. The only thing that looks wonky is when you are able to move your character after landing him, but that's just a game mechanic.

The whole thing reminds me of a fleshed out Crash mode from Burnout, except with "people". For $9.99, it looks fun as hell.

Thank you! Finally, someone besides me sees the value of a stupidly fun, possibly shallow $10 downloadable game. :)

I hear that this game's idea came out of a marketing meeting. But I'm curious what you guys think of it.

it's not worth the $10 from me. looks fun, but also looks like what would be free online. reminds me a lot of something like Garry's Mod for HL2 before it went not-free at v10.0.
however, I also say its not worth it for me, because I'll know I'll play it for a week, and drop it. Like pretty much every other game known to mankind. I can't focus on a game long enough to beat it. I have so many games that are maybe a couple levels in at best.
i'll put my money towards DLC for Rock Band, although I probably won't nab the entire Bowie pack, maybe just one song. Not sure yet, gotta re-listen to those songs and see if they are worth spending money on. If they sound too easy on most instruments, I'll ignore them. I tend not to play the easy songs that often, even if they are good songs.

i hear they are gonna put in celebrities and/or sony characters in the game. man, think how awesome it'll be to launch rosie o'donell or kratos.

I ended up not setting aside time tonight to purchase it and download it, so I'll wait until tomorrow. Atleast this will give me some time to read some impressions on it to see what others think.

Eh, I'm glad I waited....I think I'll pass. The IGN review sheds some light on the simplicity of this game. Only one level where all the props and actors are in the same place every single freaking time? Great idea, not even remotely fleshed out.

this game could have rocked if they would have spent more time on it. 10 bucks is steep but if there were a few more levels, or atleast different starting points in the same level, it would make it much more replayable. also, putting out a new character every few weeks or so for free would make people happy instead of making them pay a dollar each time. finally, i cant believe there isn't a way to save replays. that would seem to be the most obvious thing to include in a game like this...being able to post it online and have others vote for them would be awesome (kinda like Skate). anyway, its sad they dropped the ball on what could have been great.
