The wife thinks it odd to enjoy a mosquito bite...

But... relieving the itch feels so nice, I'm not sure the pleasure doesn't exceed the irritation of the bite.

Yeah everyone's tempted to itch it. I kinda sometimes scratch the area around the bite. It provides relief and I don't end up scratching the bite itself.

Right... The scratch around the bite method... That's at least in the top 3 techniques...

I like to run hot water on my bites. The burning relief feels so good.

I employ the scratch around and the hot water method. Works for me. But I take the hot water method to another level. Ever been to Cancun and get eaten alive by mosquitos? Try jumping into a hot jacuzzi........mmmmmmmmmmm

I do the "scratch-around" as well as the "tickle-on" methods. Tickling makes it stop itching, but doesn't irritate the bite.

If I've scratched too much, I'll generally put an "X" on it with my fingernail. Relieving. :)

I was just going to mention this. If you put a deep X in the bite and leave it alone the itchyness will go away.

I've heard this one before more than once. I wonder (if) how this works.
