I used to watch it when it first aired, and not until recently did I start again.

Tony Shalhoub is an amazing actor, he deserves some more Emmy's.

The new assistant he has I didn't like too much at first (compared to the original, New York accent girl) but I like her now -- plus she isn't bad on the eyes.

The show is witty, comical, and always interesting. Anyone else watch it a lot? It's on USA every day at 4:30, I think. (repeat wise)

I liked the first season, but 2 and 3 just got worse and worse. The new assistant is easier on the eyes but just doesnt fit the bill for me. Lost its originality.

I really enjoy the show, but usually at some point end up feeling incredibly embarrassed or really upset at what happens. It takes some very interesting writing to be able to keep you laughing while feeling pity and disgusted.

I like the new assistant better than the old one. She makes the show lighter...the last one was a good Brooklyn-cop-type counterpart, but she was always nit-picking at Monk and it just got annoying. The new one is a little more of a buffer against his personality.

I'm amazed that it go onto a major network. I just remember watching it in the summer on USA and boom, the other day I see it on NBC. I was like wtf!? And THEN I also see Psych on NBC as well now.
Two hilarious detective shows moving to network, impressive :D

Though Psych is a tad ridiculous at times...

NBC owns USA. Pretty crazy that not one, but two USA shows had good enough ratings that they moved them over to NBC.

one of my favorite shows. in fact i like a lot of usa's shows (psych, burn notice) and am kind of warming up to 'in plain sight'. but one of the worst episodes recently is the one with snoop dogg. if you havent seen it yet and it comes up on reruns, hurry up and change it. you must trust me on this one.

She was even hotter on Three Guys and a Pizza Something or Other.

Hah, I'm watching that right now. Started as Two Guys a Girl and a Pizza Place, then they ditched the pizza place and changed the name to Two Guys and a Girl. Two Guys and a Girl, what a great name for a TV show.

Yeah, I'm a big fan of Monk.

My wife loves the show. The formula was lost on me after the first season, however. But, then again, I'm also not a fan of cop/mystery shows either. I am a fan of Tony Shaloub though. Have been ever since Wings.
