No matter how nice, funny, or how great a personality someone may have..regardless if they're a guy or girl, if they're just..ugly, to put it bluntly, I find it extremely hard to talk and have a good conversation with them.

Sure I'll pass off some words and even make jokes with them, but I simply do not like to either be alone with them and just feel extremely awkward hanging around them.

I think a lot of it has to do with my lack of ability to make any sort of eye contact with them because I'll end up just wanting to look away, and as a result there's no real conversation that ever takes place.

However I see these people getting along just perfectly with other normal and above average looking people all the time, and it bothers me that I'm just too shallow to get past their appearance and be able to talk to them.

For an idea of what it'd be like if you don't understand, just imagine talking to someone with tattoos all over their bald head, which, I did see tonight, it's just extremely hard for me to look at them for any period of time..and ultimately just makes it difficult to talk to them.

oh ok, i think you shouldn't change your title to weird people. ugly people? i thought you just meant people who aren't as handsome or hot as others. But ify ou're tlaking about people who aren't the "norm" I feel awakward talking to them initially, but I always seem to enjoy everyone's company as long as they are good people.

You'll change your mind the first time you have an ugly boss who makes more than you, is younger than you, more successful than you, has a prettier wife than you.

Life has ways of tearing people like you down hardcore. You might want to start trying to be less critical.

Unless they have crazy sh!t hanging off of their face, it is actually easier to talk to them.

No intimidation. No hormones.

Syringer is so shallow he'd probably delude himself when faced with this situation.

Are you very handsome yourself?

Pic?

Sure it is more pleasant to look at a beautiful face than an ugly face, studies show that even month-old babies prefer looking at beautiful faces than ugly faces (they stare much longer at pictures of pretty people than pictures of ugly people), but I do think you are being pretty shallow if you are at the point where you can't interact normally with people you find less attractive. You should do volunteer work on a burns unit in a hospital. :)

You are one shallow mofo.

I don't know how old you are, but you're obviously young to have an attitude like this. IF you ever live to be older, you'll understand that looks are nothing compared to having a good soul. At this point in my life, I'd rather carry on a conversation and friendship with someone who is interesting, has unique, intelligent viewpoints on life than someone who is simply good looking. I'd much rather have a stimulating conversation with someone who is educated and has a higher than average IQ. Talking to some dumb (but good looking)bitch that doesn't have an opinion on anything or isn't aware of any current events other than what the latest pop song is isn't much fun in my opinion.

The same goes for people like Mandos, who is a good looking guy, but all he'll likely want to talk about is buying a Fiero, getting money from his 50 y.o. sugar daddy (must not be that much if he's buying a Fiero!), etc. is harder for me to converse with than someone who looks like Ernest Borgnine but has a lifetime of experience to share with me.
