anyone else into ringtones?

I love polyphonics!!! My regular ringer is the Gilligans Island theme, when the girlfriend calls it plays "I just called to say I love you" and when the ex calls it plays Jaws!!!!

ps I'm a nerd

What provider/phone do you have and how much do you pay? It's about time for me to upgrade my plan and I figure I will buy a new phone while I'm at it.

I have at&t...but almost all providers have polyphonic tones...the trick is finding a good site....I go to matrixm ...pay about a buck a ringtone

Nothing is worse than trying to concentrate on something and some fool's phone beeps "wanksta" on max volume. :|

I wish I had a polyphonic ringtone capable phone. Oh well, I will in 6months or so.

I have to punch in ringtones into my 3390, but I don't have to pay for them😛

The way I figure, if I go for long enough without a cellphone, everyone around me will have one, and I can just mooch a call if I need to. Who needs ringtones when you can be a freeloader?

same, dont pay. download mines. it plays midi's, and no way im paying for a midi when there's millions available on the web for free.

btw, service = verizon, phone = vx4400

heres how i do it: right+click on 'listen', save as a midi, and then using a cable, upload them to my phone. at least thats what i do. that site has a bunch of songs. mono or poly. can pay and have them sent to your phone also i believe.

interesting....very interesting....I have the usb data cable for my moto...but I had to use a hack driver for it so its more of a pain(have to reinstall the driver everytime I reboot) to use it then to just pay the couple bucks

ahhh, now it makes sense. for my phone, a few people have already designed a GUI program, so its just as simple as plugging in the cable, installing the drivers, and tada! (well, its not THAT simple or easy, but, it only takes a few minutes to get it up and goin')

If I wanted to listen to music I'd use my MP3's. Hearing people's ringtones go off are among the most annoying sounds out there..

I just have a cheezy ghetto Kyocera 2235 cell phone thru verizon.... no special ringtones.... just sonar-like ringtones 😀

Exactly. Having a regular "ring" during a movie is ok - at least it might be a doctor or someone important. Hearing some tinny rendition of a song blip out earns you a "TURN THAT ****ING PHONE OFF BEFORE I SHOVE IT UP YOUR ***!"

I'm into the ring ring ringtone myself. Ringtones are such ... kid/teen items. Ring Ring is the money.

every ring tone on my 4400 is a melody. there are no normal ringers. a downfall to this phone i suppose. if i could find a normal sounding ringer, id use that. right now my ringer is set to the closest sounding thing to a normal ringer, but it still sounds like a phone ringing circa the year 3025. and its the default ringer that came with the phone!!

i like my music loud. wont hear it moving. i like ringers, dont mind em', just need a normal sounding one. if anyone has a normal sounding ringer midi, i would really appreciate it.

I would NEVER pay for a ringtone.

My cell phone is currently playing Pachabel's Cannon...and I did it all in the ringtone composer on my phone. When my mom calls from her cell phone, it plays Valkyrie (preset from phone)...sounds like the doom song you hear all the time in bugs bunny cartoons.

I looooooooooooove those sites that tell you how to input the tones in the composer.

I've yet to figure out a good one to play for when the bf calls...heh.
