I upgraded my version of Vista x64 to SP1 through Windows Update on Feb 22nd. Everything seemed to be gravy, until I loaded up MS Word and started to do my Chinese homework. Normally, when I do Chinese homework, I hit alt-shift to switch input languages in Vista so that the input turns into Chinese instead of English. Now, when I hit alt-shift, nothing happens. I've tried messing around with the Language Bar, nothing seems to change the input language from EN.
Funny thing, though... I had Trillian up at the time and I was messing around in the windows, seeing if I could type in Chinese somehow. I couldn't, so I gave up, went and finished my homework on my laptop, then came back and sent someone an IM. To my surprise, my input was... Chinese... except the Language Bar still said that I was in EN input, and nothing could change my input back into English short of a restart of Trillian.
This is a really odd issue; can someone else try messing with their Language Bar to see if they get this problem?
EDIT: I'm an idiot. A restart fixed the problem.
