Approximately 2.6% of the US population over 18 is bipolar. That's a lot of people. 82.9% of those cases are severe. Up to one in five bipolar people commit suicide. Depression affects just over 6% of the US population, with varying levels of severity.
Bi-polar can start in childhood or develop later in life but usually around 25. But as late as 40 or 50. I was not properly diagnosed until my mid thirties. Everyone just said I had chronic mild depression. I'm talking like multiple mental health professionals completely fucked up my diagnosis over more than a decade. It wasn't like I even had the milder form of bi-polar, I have the worst kind bi-polar 1 with rapid cycling. It's borderline criminal. Do your fucking job as a mental health professional.
Anybody else suffer from an ailment? There are hundreds of you users on ATOT so the numbers say some of you fuckers must be something.
