I prefer Howard Stern for my commute.

<--Hoping he doesn't retire at the end of this year...I don't think he even owns a car though.

I do. I remember there was one call that was epic. This lady called in asking about her car stuttering. They asked her about stuff and finally they got to a point when one of them goes "and this is where you tell us that the check engine light has been on."

her: "uhhhhh yeah"
him: "how long"
her: "3 months"

I laughed my ass off.

Listen to it all the time...especially on long trips. My wife's eyes roll when I turn it on...and quickly glaze over...but I love the two of them. You learn a few good pieces of knowledge between all the banter.

I'm always amazed at how well they can diagnose cars over the phone. They're entertaining to listen to and pretty darn knowledgeable.

They own a shop near MIT where they both went to school. I've always wondered how it would be to drop a car off to be fixed it there.

I'm sure they have several "support staff" who help them diagnose it (get the info from the person on the phone before they bring them on...and do some searching so that there is info for the brothers to work off of before they talk to the users)...but I agree...it is still very impressive. They obviously know there stuff.

I love it. Listen to it every Saturday. If I can't, I download the podcast and listen while I do the dishes.

My favorite calls are the marital advice ones.

I listen on long trips as well. It's funny, some of the best memories of discovering things on a drive have that dialogue in the background!

I have been listening to them for many years. Me and my dad used to listen to it every saturday when I was a kid. I love the show and get the podcast every week. Sometimes the calls are pretty retarted but its all in good fun.

I live near there. It's nothing special. They are also cash only. Lots of times, they tell you to go to the Shell station down the street, which is actually not a bad place at all.

I have never brought my car there, but I know people who have. One said the people there are arrogant. Another said they are slow and are "not really that meticulous". I have another who said they are great. As with any other garage, it gets mixed reviews.

That said, come summer time, the place is always loaded.

It's a great show, and actually fairly informative IMO. They're both just naturally funny guys, and obviously very bright (they both graduated from MIT and have advanced degrees if memory serves).

i listen to in the morning an after work, sports talk, Farrell. If Howard decides to cancel, i'm probably cancelling sirius.
