I only got a chance to wear mine 3 times last year and each time it hurt like hell. This year same thing happened, so I phoned the board shop, and the guy there said thats normal, you have to get them broken in before they will be really comfortable. Kinda sucks when you pay $300 for a pair of snowboard boots and they are not comfortable right off the bat. Anyone else have the same experience?

Yeah they are the right size, and they are custom fit, but they are really really stiff boots, and there aren't pressure points from my bindings cause they are salomon as well (and salomon and salomon fit like a glove together)

Yeaaah, right.
If after 3 rides, they hurt, they will continue to hurt after 20 rides. Just because they are your size doesn't mean they fit you. What about foot width, what about heal life? Toe lift? Get new boots.

I might have to, I will use them a couple more times and see what happens, cause they don't hurt when I am walking around in them, just when I am riding. Its weird for like the first ten minutes I am fine then after that it starts to hurt. I guess I will see I get mondays and fridays off this semester so I will be up at big white on those weekends

I have some Burton Motos.... they are more comfortable than my running shoes! Your solomons definitely should not hurt, even the first time. I think the board shop guys are just trying to avoid dealing with you dude... go in there and demand boots that feel good!

I have a pair of this years Malamutes and I love them. They fit me perfectly where none of the Burton boots would.

But yeah, if they don't fit well after 1 or 2 days of riding, they won't even fit well. The custom fit molds a little bit during use, but it will just make it more snug when it works. It can't really change the shape of the liner.

Sorry to hear about you getting bad boots.

I like them till I start riding, then like halfway down the first run they start to hurt, I am a little pissed off, think I should call salomon or something or just head back to the board shop?
