Tried twice now to upgrade, the last revision works fine however this latest revision causes my system to reboot when trying to load windows.

I have tried modifying every setting I can think of, and I am not running anything out of spec...plus my system is rather light on periperhals so I am at a bit of a loss.

nothing major as I just flash back to the old version but wondering if others had the same problems

Thanks

Seems like I found a few other comments on this bios on the alliance of OC in dealing with the 07-28-05 bios...

l3fty: "I found it very unstable. My 2 cents"

tajak: "Yes very unstable, I was hitting fsb=280(2520mhz), 3-3-3-6 (166) with my crap kingston cl3 memory and vcore at 1.55 with the earlier "5629" bios. Now it barely booted with safe settings like fsb=267(2403mhz), 3-4-4-8(166), I also had to up my vcore for this setting to 1.55 (prime still errored directly) Stable with 1.52 before.
Cpu is a 3000+ venice."

y2kpm:" I agree. This BIOS (7/28 I think) has some major issues. It really sank my 12v rail from 11.90 to 11.05 and I couldn't OC anywhere close to where I was (I re-flashed with the 6/29 BIOS). I wasted the whole day trying to get it to work. I'm surprised they let this one go."

yeah I noticed that as well and it took me back to my Abit days...however never had a problem like this before...I am almost certain it pertains to my memory and use of 4 sticks of 512 as everyone that has a gig or less seems to be fine such as Husky above and the chipset has had problems in the past with more than two sticks.

I emailed Epox USA with this to see what they say...who knows when they will get back to me though.

I receive my 9NPA+Ultra today. I'll flash to 6/29 and call it a day. I see nothing in the 7/28 description that looks useful anyhow.

Bulldog, you may not need to. I just got the Epox a couple of days ago, and it came with the 6/29 BIOS already installed (and the clock set to Taiwan time).
