Everytime I install Office XP my ATI drivers go side ways on me. I thought maybe it was just my computer or configuration, but I just built a new computer with a differant motherboard and CPU and it STILL happens. ARGGGHHH

Then I have to go through HELL trying to get rid of all the ATI files and REG. settings just to be able to reinstall the Video drivers again (After removing Office XP)

Is it just me (GOD HATES ME) or are others having this same trouble?

This is in 98SE by the way. I haven't tried it in XP Pro or 2000 Pro yet, so I don't know if this is a OS related snafu or not....

EDIT: The card in question in a Hercules 3D Prophet 8500 / 128

No problem with 9700Pro/WinXP Pro/Office XP Pro or Mobility 7500/WinXP Home/Office XP Pro.

What happens if you install your Office stuff and THEN install the Video drivers?

ummm. call me crazy, but shouldn't Office XP only be run with Windows XP, not 98??

I have a Radeon 8500 and officeXP, and it runs fine under WinXP. Haven't tried 98 though, sorry.

ATI control panel has a little thing where you can rotate the screen 90degrees. Maybe try playing with that.
