Anyone else having problems with nforce 6.86 drivers?

I was experiencing some problems with an older game (Sim City 4 Deluxe) and I thought it was about time I upgraded my drivers. I had only done this with the video drivers since I built the system about a year ago and it looked like new Nforce drivers were needed. After unistalling the old version and installing the 6.86 version I'm showing uninstalled drivers for the following:

  • Other PCI Bridge Device
    Multimedia Audio Controller
    PCI Memory Controller
    SM Bus Controller
These all appear to be pretty major components and have me concerned. During the install I was prompted to install the newer nVidia IDE and ATA drivers which were supposed to be optimized for the hardware. Perhaps this is causing a conflict of some kind.

Has anyone experienced this before and is there a fix? Thanks for any replies!

The new drivers did not install properly.

1) remove the nvidia drivers via add & remove programs, select all
2) download driver cleaner
3) reboot to safe mode and run driver cleaner choosing nForce chipset, ati, nvidia
4) reboot to normal mode and trying installing the new nForce drivers first, reboot, then install the video drivers

Thanks! You were right on the money as I ended up unistalling all drivers and then reinstalling them in order to correct the issue...or at least correct most of the issues. Only the "Other PCI Bridge Device" will not install. When I try to run the upgrade driver option I am prompted to insert a disc. I did not use Driver Cleaner so I might need to try this again.
