Nero wouldn't allow me to burn at all since it didn't recognize the driver. Is this fixed in any Nero updates or planned to be fixed?

I have no problem with the IAA version 2.0 and Nero 5.5.7.2 (latest version) under Win2K.

People usually run into problems with the IAA under Win9x though.

I am running Wiin 98SE, so that explains it. I need to stop procrastinating and just buy Win2000 Pro. I wish it would go down in price some though.

...........edit..........
BTW, thanks Andy you are the answer man.............:)

Is XP professional good for overclocking? I really like the new XP interface, but wasn't sure it was matured enough yet. BTW great overclock man........:D

WinXP is great for overclocking, I'm using an OC'ed P4 Northwood and XP works fine. Also have the IAA 2.0 and it works fine with my Nero 5.5.7.8.

I upgraded Nero and it now works with IIA 2.0, but HDTach crashes. Oh well, can't read the burst speed since it tops at 80 and this is going past that I assume. (Big difference from my KT7A, which could only burst at 68.)

Man its funny when I would switch drivers because DMA enabled is never carried over on this chipset (at least for me) and I will go test the hard drive speed and it is wooohooo 6300 in sandra......:) With DMA enabled its hitting over 22000, which is a little low but I think its the hard drive that I have.

Anyone know an easy utility to check if a drive is in "quiet" mode. (Maxtor)
