I bought the Windows ME upgrade, the one for users of 98. I did a fresh install, it did check for my 98 CD, and everything installed just fine. I installed all the latest drivers and installed all items from Windows Update. At this point, the system was running like a gem. I then went out and bought Links LS 2001 and Madden 2001 and installed them both. When I try to run either of them, it's BSOD city! I can only run these games using software 3D, not hardware 3D. Even then, it often crashes. When I do try hardware 3D, my whole system freezes at various points in the game. I even reinstalled the OS and tried again, no luck. I am able to run other games, just not these two. These games did install on another system and run fine there. Anyone else having problems running these games or other games in Windows ME or is it just me? My system specs are below:
