Anyone else having problems downloading Email?

I just called Comcast Tech support and they say it's because i have Norton Antivirus email scan activated. their suggestion is to turn it off. i tried that to no avail.

anyone else have any ideas?

Did you fix your server settings after turning it off, too?

you mean in the Tools portion of Outlook?

why would i fix server settings after turning off NAV? what would i fix?

NAV changes the servers.. atleast it does for me with NAV 2002. And it doesn't fix them after you turn it off.

i didn't notice a change. i did notice that if i restart Outlook after turning off NAV 2003, then it downloads emails.

So it looks like it fixes it for you then.. it basically just redirects the email to scan it first, then delivers it to you. Is your subscription for NAV dead or something? Might just try uninstalling/reinstalling it.

nope, subscription is good till 1/17/2005

no, i had a similar problem earlier, where an email would get stuck on the pop server because NAV didn't like it, so i'd log in via Webmail and delete it.

this time, i checked for such emails, and that wasn't it. it just was looping with NAV and timing out. weird.
